Privacy Policy

The website chapitresixhotels.com (hereinafter “the Site”) brings together the hotels of the Chapitre Six collection.
Each hotel is operated by a separate company, identified on its own dedicated legal notice page (see Article 9).

3. Intellectual property

The “Chapitre Six” trademark, together with the trademarks of the hotels of the collection and all elements featured on the Site — texts, photographs, illustrations, logos, icons and page layout — are the exclusive property of Chapitre Six or its partners, and are protected by the French Intellectual Property Code (Articles L.111-1 et seq.).

Any reproduction, representation, modification or use, in whole or in part, of these elements without the prior written consent of Chapitre Six is strictly prohibited and would constitute an infringement punishable under Articles L.335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.

4. Liability and access to the Site

Chapitre Six endeavours to ensure that the information published on the Site is accurate and up to date, but cannot guarantee its completeness or the absence of errors. Access to the Site may be interrupted, in particular for maintenance or technical reasons, without any liability on the part of Chapitre Six.

Chapitre Six accepts no liability for damage resulting from fraudulent intrusion by a third party leading to an alteration of the information published.

5. Hyperlinks

6. Cookie policy

A cookie is a text file placed on your device when you visit the Site. In accordance with CNIL Deliberation No. 2020-091 of 17 September 2020 and the GDPR, the Site distinguishes between:

  • Strictly necessary cookies (no consent required) — operation of the Site, security, booking engines.
  • Audience measurement cookies (consent required) — anonymised traffic analysis. Duration: 13 months maximum.
  • Personalisation and advertising cookies (consent required) — booking partners and social media, campaign measurement and advertising retargeting.

A consent banner allows you, on your first visit, to accept or decline non-essential cookies. You may change your choice at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of the page. No non-essential cookie is placed without your prior consent. Declining cookies is as easy as accepting them, and your choice is retained for six months. The list of partners that may place cookies, their purposes and the applicable retention periods are set out in the cookie settings module.

7. Personal data

7.1 Data controller

Each hotel of the collection determines the purposes and means of the processing of its own guests’ data: the operating company of the hotel concerned is therefore the data controller, and is identified on that hotel’s own legal notice page (see Article 9).

At Site level, Chapitre Six acts as data controller for the operations it carries out directly (management of the Site, browsing, aggregate statistics, and the cross-marketing operations described in 7.2). Data is retained only for as long as strictly necessary for the purposes pursued, and is disclosed only to service providers involved in the management of bookings, the Site and communications (booking engine, property management system, hosting provider, emailing tools and advertising platforms), where applicable in the context of transfers outside the European Union governed by appropriate safeguards. Full details are set out in the privacy policy.

7.2 Cross-marketing between hotels

With your consent, certain data (identity, contact details, stay preferences) may be shared between the operating companies of the collection and Chapitre Six in order to send you offers relating to other hotels of the group. This processing is carried out under joint controllership within the meaning of Article 26 of the GDPR; an agreement concluded between the entities concerned defines their respective roles, and its essential terms are available on request from the DPO. You may withdraw your consent at any time. Outside these operations, each hotel retains its own guest database.

7.3 Data Protection Officer (DPO)

A single Data Protection Officer has been appointed at group level. For any question relating to your data or to exercise your rights, you may contact:

DPO – Chapitre Six:

Name: Marie HELYNCK

Email: dpo@chapitresix.com

7.4 Your rights

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 as amended, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise these rights, please send your request to the group DPO (contact details above) or directly to the hotel concerned. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (the French data protection authority) – 3 place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris – www.cnil.fr.

8. Bookings and terms of sale

Bookings made via the Site are concluded directly with the operating company of the chosen hotel, which is the seller. The applicable terms and conditions of sale are those of the hotel concerned, accessible during the booking process and on each hotel’s dedicated page.
